How to clean false eyelashes
Before I quit Instagram, I asked my followers on Instagram how often they get new lashes. Why get new ones when you can learn how to clean false eyelashes?!
I was inspired to ask because of a dressing room conversation that I had heard about people using lashes only once or twice!! That has to get expensive!! And I am all about saving money in certain places in order to splurge in others.
Turns out people are wanting to know my Showgirl Secrets and how I refresh my lashes!! Thank you to all of those who asked for this tutorial!!
During my time in Jubilee! I learned how to make my lashes last. They were one of the few things that were not supplied to us as performers—makeup and lashes.
We had to get our own—which was fine by me. I enjoyed the process of customizing, wearing and replenishing them.
I don’t remember how I often I got new lashes, but I want to say it was less than twice per contract. Contracts were six months, twelve shows a week, with one week paid vacation.
Yup. Best job in the world.
So here goes. Here is my secret to faking a new pair of lashes by reviving your old ones.
You will need:
- Rubbing Alcohol (isopropyl alcohol, 70% or 91%)
- Small bowl
- Worn out lashes
- Towel
- Eyelash mold case (Same case your lashes came in)
That’s it! Easy, right? This will surely save you tons of money on lashes if you do it right. And then you can put that extra money toward more sparkle!!!
To longer lasting lashes!
XOXO!
